Additional Terms for Experience Hosts

1. Introduction

These Additional Terms for Experience Hosts ("Host Terms") supplement the general Terms and Conditions of Surfara and specifically address the responsibilities and expectations of hosts offering experiences on the platform.

2. Acceptance of Terms

Agreement to Terms: By listing an experience on Surfara, hosts agree to comply with these Additional Terms, as well as Surfara’s general Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Eligibility: Hosts must meet all local legal qualifications and standards for providing experience services, including but not limited to licenses, training, and insurance coverage as required by law.

3. Listing Requirements

Accuracy of Information: Hosts must provide true, accurate, current, and complete information about their experiences and maintain and promptly update their listings to keep them true, accurate, current, and complete.

Description of Experience: Each listing must fully and accurately describe the experience, including but not limited to the location, duration, itinerary, minimum skill requirements, and any risks involved.

Pricing: All pricing must be inclusive of taxes, fees, or charges that the guest must pay.

4. Host Obligations

Quality Standards: Hosts are expected to provide a high standard of service, which includes ensuring that the experience is delivered as advertised and meets any representations made.

Availability: Hosts must manage their calendar and update availability on Surfara to prevent overbooking.

Safety: Ensuring the safety and well-being of guests by providing necessary equipment, instructions, and precautions.

Insurance: Hosts are required to obtain and maintain adequate insurance covering the entirety of their activities related to the experiences they offer.

5. Cancellation Policy

Host Cancellation: Hosts should avoid cancellations except in cases of force majeure or unavoidable circumstances. Repeated cancellations may result in penalties including removal from the platform.

Guest Cancellation: Hosts must adhere to the cancellation policy selected for their listing, which must be clearly communicated to guests prior to booking.

6. Intellectual Property

Hosts grant Surfara a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free right and license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, distribute, and display content provided by hosts in connection with the services offered by Surfara.

7. Conflict Resolution

Dispute Handling: Hosts agree to cooperate with Surfara in good faith to resolve any disputes with guests, including those related to refunds, cancellations, and complaints.

Mediation and Arbitration: In the event of a dispute, hosts are required to follow the dispute resolution process established by Surfara, which may include mediation or arbitration.

8. Amendments

Surfara reserves the right to modify these Host Terms at any time in accordance with changes in legal requirements, market conditions, or business strategies. Changes will be communicated to hosts and will become effective immediately upon posting.

9. Termination

Surfara reserves the right to suspend or terminate a host’s access to the platform if they fail to comply with these terms or engage in activities harmful to Surfara or its users.
